Broadband Microwave Amplifier Design Using Particle Swarm Optimization
نویسنده
چکیده
This short paper presents the concept of particle swarm optimization technique applied for the design of broadband microwave amplifiers. The method that is developed is based on Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) technique applied to a compensated matching network on a single stage transistor amplifier to get the best optimized result in the design. To prove the concept four different operating points were considered on the microwave amplifier design. The designs were verified via simulation results obtained by different simulators. It is shown that PSO is a fast and an efficient method and can be used in the design of broadband microwave transistor amplifiers. Design of Low Noise Amplifiers Using Particle Swarm Optimization
This short paper presents a work on the design of low noise microwave amplifiers using particle swarm optimization (PSO) technique. Particle Swarm Optimization is used as a method that is applied to a single stage amplifier circuit to meet two criteria: desired gain and desired low noise. The aim is to get the best optimized design using the predefined constraints for gain and low noise values....

A layer-encoded interactive evolutionary algorithm (IEA) for optimization of design parameters of a monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) low noise amplifier is presented. The IEA comprises a combination of the genetic algorithm (GA) and the particle swarm optimization (PSO) technique. The layer-encoding structure allows human intervention in order to accelerate the process of evolutio...
متن کاملDesign and Fabrication of a 911 GHz Balanced Low Noise Amplifier Using HJFET
This paper describes the design of an X-band balanced low noise amplifier (LNA) using an available HJFET device. The balanced LNA consists of a pair of electrically similar transistors whose input and output signals are divided or combined by 3 dB two-stage Wilkinson power dividers. The proposed balanced LNA is fabricated and measured. The measured results show that the noise figure is 1.30 dB ...

متن کاملDesign of an Ultra-wideband, Low-noise Am- Plifier Using a Single Transistor: a Typical Application Example
In this work, a design method of an Ultra-Wideband (UWB), low-noise amplifier (LNA) is proposed exerting the performance limitations of a single high-quality discrete transistor. For this purpose, the compatible (Noise F , Input VSWR Vi, Gain GT ) triplets and their (ZS , ZL) terminations of a microwave transistor are exploited for the feasible design target space with the minimum noise Fmin(f)...
